Wholesale Nike Air Force One Shoes

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Upon their sales to the public prices for the Air Force One shoes ranged from $70 to $80 retail for the standard white or black Nike Air Force One and up to $300 for customized colors and logos. Almost instantly this also created a market for wholesale Nike Air Force Ones, but that market was harder to maintain in competition with the larger stores carrying the retail marketing power and recognition.

Corresponding with the release and early popularity of the Nike Air Force One line was the revolution of the Hip Hop movement and the growing trend of Hip Hop clothing. Hip-hop fashion began to gain momentum in the late seventies and continued to survive as a unique culture and fashion through out the early eighties. Marked by clothing with an African American influence, early Hip Hop fashion included the wearing of large glasses, gold necklaces and rings, oversized loose fitting clothing in pallets of black, red and green and an emphasis on brand name footwear, Nike, Addidas that was comfortable and reflective of personal style, often with oversized laces.

Where Do I Find Large Size Boots?

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

I wear large size boots, so going to the shoe store is not exactly a picnic. You see, it is hard enough to find large shoes in my size, but to get large size boots is almost impossible.

Of course, there are some moon boots and clunkers like that, but I am a hiker, and I need special hiking shoes to keep my feet happy on the long trails. But, although I can usually find a pair or two of large size boots at any store, there isn’t the selection that I like unless I go to the big outlet stores, or buy my footwear on the internet.

Of course, the internet is right out for me. Companies often change the build of their shoes without announcing it to anyone, and there is nothing to do about it but try on each pair of shoes that you buy.

Last time I bought a pair of my large size boots online instead of in the shoe store, I thought that I would get something that would fit me. After all, it was the same pair that I had bought last time, and my feet hadn’t grown at all.

What You Should Know About Canvas Shoes

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Canvas is a coarse cloth material made of hemp that is used in a number of things including sails, tents, boards (used for painting on, i.e. painting canvasses) and shoes. The canvas shoe is a very basic form of casual shoe or sneaker. It is constructed very simply with a canvas upper and a rubber sole. Canvas shoes can be purchased in high top or low top and are available in almost any color you could ask for. Some canvas shoes, especially those made for children, have cute designs on them as well. On the other hand canvas shoes do not have much shock absorption, cushioning or support and therefore are not suitable for any type of “pounding the pavement” sort of activities. If you run, do aerobics, play tennis or any other sports then go in for an honest to goodness pair of sneakers and leave the canvas shoes for the beach or backyard. Canvas shoes are fun, casual, and versatile and are also not that pricey. You can buy a decent pair of them for anywhere from twenty to thirty dollars (and sometimes less).

A big advantage of canvas shoes is that they are a “low maintenance” and “no fuss” kind of shoe. In other words taking care of them is a snap. First of all it is a good idea to protect your canvas shoes before wearing them (or even better, upon first purchasing them) by applying a cloth care spray or starch to them. If you have sensitive skin it is wise to wear vinyl or rubber gloves when you spray your shoes and then give your hands a good washing afterwards. If you have asthma or any other respiratory problem always wear a mask and if the spray gets into your eyes or causes your skin any irritation then rinse immediately with lots of water.
